IQ Surgical is a customer-centric organization, focused on marketing orthopedic devices for surgical procedures in trauma, spine, arthroplasty, and soft tissue reconstruction. Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, our mission is to find the best ways to serve all those we interact with, including patients, medical professionals and device manufactures. Founded in 2008, IQ has consistently stood at the forefront of new technology and procedures. For the last eight years IQ has developed the Oklahoma market, with substantial growth. Cayenne Medical’s AperFix device, IQ’s first product at launch, is the only multi-ligament system with rigid fixation. This product has remained successful for IQ for nearly a decade. With regards to Trauma, IQ is proud of a long parternsership with TriMed. TriMed is a leading innovator of advanced fixation technologies in the field of orthopedics. The company specializes in small fragment fracture fixation and holds numerous patents within this field. TriMed’s products have distribution all around the world.

Similarly, IQ has been at the top of arthroplasty since 2010. For the last six years IQ has grown the OmniPlasty robotic knee placement brand over 20% year-over- year. Via 3D bone morphing, OMNIPlasty gives the surgeon flexibility to fine-tune adjustments in real time during the procedure. This successful growth is in large part due to a strong product offering, but it also speaks to the talented team that makes up the IQ brand. IQ has recently reached into new arenas like spinal biologics, including Amnion and Spine Stimulation. Both products require a strong clinical foundation in spinal anatomy and the mode in which bone remodels and regenerates. Our product portfolio includes all forms of therapy, as well as DME and post-operative care.

IQ Surgical remains one of only a handful of healthcare distributors with a corporate organizational structure. IQ maintains a diverse full-time staff, with specialists in logistics, sales, and service. This allows our sales consultants to fully engage in their craft of building relationships and growing the brand. Since 2008, IQ has completed more than 12,000 surgical procedures.

Ryan Jude Tanner

Chief Executive

In 2008, Ryan Tanner announced the creation of IQ Surgical and currently serves as Chairman and Chief Executive. Prior to IQ Surgical, he served as a Regional Sales Manager for BIOMET Orthopedics.

Mr. Tanner has a broad business background in the medical device industry. After holding positions at Surgical Services Incorporated, he spent the next 5 years at BIOMET of MidAmerica, helping the start-up distributor grow to more than 22 million dollars in annual sales. He then spent a brief time at Applied Medical as a conversion specialist.

Mr. Tanner currently serves on the Board of Directors for Tulsa CARES. During his tenure, he has served as Executive Vice President, Chairman of The Red Ribbon Gala, and most recently, Master of Ceremonies for Gala. He recently joined the Philbrook Musuem of Art Board of Trustees. Mr. Tanner is a member of the United Way’s Alexis De Tocqueville Society.

Jay Leland Krottinger

Co-Founder / Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Krottinger oversees the strategic and operational direction of IQ Surgical. He also plays a key role implementing the highest level of customer service, emerging products and technology, as well as logistics support.

Mr. Krottinger is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma School of Music where he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees as well as sub-disciplinary degrees in Marketing and Business Administration. Heavily involved in music and entertainment, he is a recipient of both Tony and Drama Desk Awards for producing the 2013 Broadway Revival of Pippin, and is also a producer of London’s West End premiere of Memphis – The Musical.

Max Kraus

Senior Director of Sales

Mr. Kraus’ role is focused on business development while maintaining the high level of customer service that clients have come to know from IQ Surgical. He has exceptional experience ranging from a position as commercial manager in Sydney, Australia, to a regional sales manager for the nation’s largest home health and hospice company, to a VP of sales for a regional hospice provider.

A local Tulsan, Mr. Kraus attended the University of Tulsa where he earned a scholarship to play football for the Golden Hurricane. He received his bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications before earning his MBA while working as a graduate assistant. While at TU, he also met his wife of 5 years, Kristie. He is a passionate football fan and also enjoys wakeboarding and wakesurfing.

Rae Lea Frances

Director of Scheduling

After joining the IQ Surgical team in 2008, Ms. Frances quickly became a pillar in our office. She manages the day-to-day operations of the company and provides invaluable client support. As the main company contact, she provides guidance and assistance to vendors, new clients and the sales staff.

Ms. Frances joined the IQ Surgical team after spending 30 years of service working in manufacturing, where she was skilled in various trades. In her spare time, she loves to craft, decorate, garden and golf.

Carissa Warne

Director of Patient Advocacy

Ms. Warne joined the IQ Surgical team as a specialist in Deep Vein Thrombosis product sales. Her vast knowledge of the DVT device makes her highly valued amongst the staff.

Ms. Warne graduated from Oklahoma State with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Human Resource Management. She loves to travel and enjoys concerts, all outdoor activities and traveling.

Corey Albertson

Junior Product Consultant

Mr. Albertson’s primary role as a Product Consultant is having a complete knowledge base of the products sold and distributed by IQ Surgical. His overall scope of understanding allows him to give all of our customers the highest level of customer satisfaction at any point in the product sales process.

Mr. Albertson attended The University of Tulsa on a soccer scholarship and graduated with a Biology/Pre-Med degree. He is currently a member of the semi-pro Tulsa Athletics soccer team, and also a coach for the local WSA soccer club in Sand Springs. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, watching any kind of sports, listening to live music, going to the lake and spending time with his family.
